G'day Possums,

some pics of  flowers from the garden to leaven the more depressing aspects of this weeks demonstrations of people behaving badly...and the usual suspects defecating in their own nests.

We have never had political and corporate corruption on such a scale, media as fecklessly useless and a future so dim as we have at present…. Welcome to the new Dark Ages; the new feudal system, where business has bought government and its representatives only spruik what business desires.

From the Ruling rabble Mk#1 with Rabid-the-Hun and their lying incompetent implementation of the IPA wish-list followed by the five minute dawn of false hope that Truffles’ promised with his ruling Rabble Mk#2 which has only resulted in further fiscal maladroitness and the degradation, sullying and polluting of every single facet of Australian society that once made this country a nation to be proud of.
 

They have killed democracy. They have lied, cheated and stolen . They have replaced a vision of tolerance, equity and fairness with racism, greed and inequality. They have gutted education and manufacturing and are gradually destroying the health system and in doing all this have spiritually weakened the country to such a degree that any small crisis will see a population turn in on itself as all confidence has been sapped from them.

A disturbed man, running from police after a stabbing and kidnapping has mown down and murdered people on Melbourne city street in his car...at present, 5 dead and some 20 injured, many very seriously.

The Dominatrix of One Notion, The Red Terror, Hanson announces at a "presser" after her sleazy advisor Ashby (remember the tawdry Slippery Pete Affaire?)  blows in her ear, that it was a Muslim Terrorist attack  .... incorrect as always and not withdrawn...  which is by followed Libertarian Senator, Loopy Leyonhjelm  tweeting almost immediately, " Probably one of those semi-automatic assault cars. " .... thus  proving his  tasteless, moronic and self serving insensitivity but then, being supported by another One Notion senator, Mal-Addled Roberts who tweets in reply, "Brilliant. One of those things I wished I had thought of first."

You really have to wonder to what level these pond scum have sunk the parliament?

What has this nation become with the electing such boorish, insensitive and egotistical stupidity of the likes of Leyonhjelm, Roberts and Hanson to our parliament?

Loopy, having not really grown up describes himself as a Libertarian; a state which can also be confused with narcissism.

Mal-Addled Roberts, on the other hand is just plain ..well, addled.

The Red Terror, Hanson is more akin to the Manichaein principle that you have to experience evil to eventually know goodness and you only operate at a level of a very basic duality.

And then you just have to look at the "candidates" the red terror is inflicting on WA: amongst them a nutter xtian pastor and self-proclaimed miracle worker who wants staff at his drive-through coffee shop to be bikini dressed barista's and  an ex- felon who filched stamps and on-sold them to Australia post.

You really don't have to ask: is democracy failing?

It might be grim days and they may stay grim for a while but with the unpopular election of the fascist Trump in the Un-united States and the subsequent huge demonstrations against him we may be witnessing the turning of the tide. He just might be the agent to finally collapse capitalism. 

Certainly, the levels of anger here in Oz are rising as the Ruling Rabble staggers from one crisis of their own making to the next and where even the normally supine mainstream media are beginning to ask questions, not only about their competence but also what their policy direction is and where the country is heading. 

Many are saying: "The storm is coming"; demonstrations are being planned and I get the feeling Possums that things are going to get messy in way we've not experienced here before. The right wingers, the IPA and their capitalist ilk are not likely to accede to having their destructive agenda stymied and will fight tooth and nail to ravage any semblance of the civil social society that currently remains rather than admit they are ideologically wrong and that all their free-market and trickle-down theory has failed the country miserably.

A sniff of revolution, Petals?  Perhaps.

With the booting of Sussan Ley from her position as Health Minister because she was an embarrassment to the Ruling Rabble, Prime Miniature Truffles  has appointed an even bigger shonk to the position.

 Arfah Da Spiv Sinodinas.  Arfah, you might recall was severely memory challenged at the corruption investigation in Sydney a couple of years ago when asked about who gave what to whom when  he was fundraising treasurer for the Liarbril party.

That he was also working at the time for outstanding remuneration, vis-s-vis hours worked, for the now jailed Labor Party shonk, Eddie Obeid should ring alarm bells but this is the new Australia where political corruption is just about the only growth area of the economy.
Bronnie, Kero/Chopper Bishop came to Ley's defence arguing that Socialism was to blame and to a certain extent she's correct. The failed and most biased Speaker of the Parliament was certainly assiduous in distributing taxpayer funds for her own entitled benefit before she too was dumped as an embarrassment  and presently shows no sign of being coy in taking $200,000.00 of taxpayer money each year as her parliamentary pension.

Slit-Her-Throat Ciobo, a very nasty piece of Liarbril work, chimed in too, opining that we taxpayers "expect" that we should pay for these entitled people to attend sporting fixtures and other social events, drink the free booze and to schmooze with the "A" list whilst sorting out future employment opportunity's.

But not so our Foreign minister Jules, Asbestos Bishop.  Mindful of her propensity to make very expensive RAAF travel arrangements with her current B/F Asbestos this year bailed out of attending the Portsea Polo extravaganza, probably assessing it too unseemly that she should pay with her own money to talk matters equine as she did last year. No wonder the Chinese said she was a fool.

Capn Catlic, Andrews hit us for $2,000.00 to attend a prayer session with other right-wingers in the US forgetting that his christ allegedly threw the money lenders out of the temple not invited them in.

Horse-Shite Cormann has spent $23,000.00  taking his family on holidays to Broome at our expense whilst as finance minister he strips back welfare, medicare, education, pensions because we're too expensive to run.

Apparently, 650 big companies pay no tax at all and Truffles is trying to give them all a $50,000,000,000.00 hand-out!

We are in 2017 entering the fulfilment of the dystopian ideology of the The-Coots-With-Queer-Ideas-From-a-Parallel-Universe, the  IPA. 

A new medievalism and  economic replication of the dark ages is happening where serfdom, bondage and even slavery will be the order of the day. 

Governments, military and police forces will just be the control agents of the populace for the various multi-national oligarchs of Energy, Finance, Agriculture, Propaganda/ Entertainment and Health.

Not a new idea  being expressed but I never thought I would see the day when this putrid dystopian future is staring us in the face.

Just like the now late and under-performing  NBN that Truffles has made such a mess of Xtian (?) Porter, Minister for Cruelty,  excitedly babbles that Centrelink's new automated debt recovery methods are working "incredibly well" and lies that it is only attracting a tiny number of complaints (only estimated at 20%), while purportedly recovering about $300,000,000.00 of taxpayer money.      

Low-income Australians have not only received letters of demand for thousands of dollars in recalculated welfare debts in the Christmas and New Year period as the agency's new compliance system data matches income information with other government records, including at the Australian Taxation Office but also advice to seek assistance if they feel suicidal.

Centrelink managers being in the firing line have discretely hung up on the public, hiding their office phone numbers and email addresses after one customer of the welfare agency went public with how he bypassed Centrelink's notorious customer service system and contacted a senior public servant directly.

The Dept. of In-Human Services, says it is "not practical" for senior bureaucrats to take phone calls from members of the public as it probably distresses them and distracts from rooting out evil-doers and finding the funds for the $50 Billions in tax breaks for those who pay no tax.

Criminalizing people is only one of the things that this ruling rabble excels at, the other being its excessive rorting of parliamentary entitlements. 

Recently, Minister for Dismantling Medicare, Sussan "Biggles" Ley and her husband jumped from Sydney to the Gold Coast to "visit some patients" on a RAAF flight that cost the taxpayer $12,000 because "commercial flights (at around $200.00 PP ) are unsuitable."  And notwithstanding the minister's $1,790,000.00 of expenses claimed during the past 24 months she also managed on the same day to "not plan " on buying an $800,000.00 apartment at auction from a Liarbril party donor who also happens to work in the health business.

Attempting to show that "There's-Nothing-To-See-Here," Barnyard Joyce, Deputy Prime Miniature and Land Clearing Assistant came to Biggle's succour by providing the distraction that imported prawns are being banned to assist in stopping the decimating spread of "White-Spot" amongst Prawn farms: that this move was asked for fully two years ago by the industry when the disease was first noted and not such a problem only goes to prove, "There's-Nothing-To-See-Here," also applies to what's-between-the-ears as well! 

 Unfortunately, the very people deserving of criminalization; tax avoiding multi-nationals, time and again go free, as it is  far easier to target the already vulnerable who cannot afford expensive lawyers and who don't fund the LIarbril Party.

And from "The Independent Australia" comes these little gems that we should all recognize and expect more of in the coming months.... 

The quest to restore falling profit rates has seen a certain uniformity of policy responses worldwide, often called neoliberalism.

These policies include:

cutting government spending, especially to the poor and less well off;

doing little or nothing to address existential threats like climate change or immediate threats such as domestic violence;

undermining and hamstringing unions;

cutting workers’ living standards, either directly through reducing real wages or indirectly through cutting back on the social wage (health, education, transport and so on);

extending the working day so that more and more unpaid labour is extracted from workers;

cutting company taxes;

subsidising big business operations to the tune of tens of billions of dollars;

spending billions on infrastructure for big business (but not for the benefit of workers);

cracking down on welfare recipients;

going easy on big business tax avoidance;

winding back the eligibility for various government payments, including the aged pension; and privatising government instrumentalities.

 Unless there is a mass upsurge of demonstrations and strikes, and a consequent revitalisation of the working class and socialist movements, the long slow death agonies of capitalism could throw up "solutions" that hark back to the dark days of the 1930s. 

It is time to organise. It is time to fight back.
