The Saturday Paper headlined its latest edition with "Guthrie dismissal causes chaos at the ABC",  I beg to differ. ... and replace it with "Guthrie and Milne dismissals cause further chaos in the IPA's ruling rabble quest to privatize the public broadcaster."

The week began with the ABC chairman, Gormless Milne announcing that he and the board had sacked the MD, Michelle Guthrie. 

Now for someone who has had a lifetime in the media and was a principal (where his mate ex-prime miniature Truffles made many millions) at Ozemail:  to leave a paper trail pointing at your lack of impartiality and dropping your appointee in it ....and for an ex film editor / film company owner not to able to give a cogent interview to very soft questions in which your answers expose your lies, rather begs the question..... particularly as he and his plotters demonstrated such inept handling with this coup and excised a plethora of entrails for the press to divine... just how suitable was he for the job ? 

A job where he is to support and defend the organization, not kow-tow to political pressure.

"The chairman of the ABC reportedly told sacked managing director Michelle Guthrie to fire presenter Emma Alberici after former prime minister Malcolm Truffles Turnbull complained about her reporting.

The instruction came in an email from Chairman Milne to Guthrie in May, Fairfax Media reported on Wednesday.

"They [the government] hate her," Mr Milne wrote.

"We are tarred with her brush. I think it's simple. Get rid of her. We need to save the ABC - not Emma. There is no guarantee they [the coalition] will lose the next election."

The comments were reportedly circulated to members of the ABC board a week before Ms Guthrie was sacked on Monday.   Who are now complicit in this political assassination

Could it be that a State government creating a positive mood with long overdue infrastructure programs, creating jobs, building schools, a progressive medical approach and looking after regional areas has, by pointing out a future and actively providing hope for the community, is creating a healthier society?

He in turn, announced that having two days to celebrate The Nation's Birthday, Australia Day and an Indigenous Day was just the happy-clapper gospel to unify a divided country. Annie Oakly could be excused for her historical ineptitude though, as she was likely too busy organizing thousands of dollars of RAAF flight timetables to ferry her around the country to sporting events..... a practice obviously well taught by her ex boss the philandering Tomato-Faced, Barnyard Joyce!

Remember when Australia was a "larrikin" nation, celebrated as a "Fair Dinkum" breed-apart from its colonial masters, thumbing its nose at overweening authority and mythicized as the "workers paradise of the South" where "a fair go" and a "fair day's pay for a fair day's work" were part of an egalitarian social contract, and "mate-ship" was real?

Well Petals,  the "thumbing your nose at authority" bit was finally put to rest last week when Labor supported the Ruling Rabble's Foreign Influence and Transparency Bill through the Senate.

Now, thumbing your nose at the Government of the day ( may we get one soon), by writing a researched  article critical of it, planning or participating in a demonstration against its programs or intentions, will land you with a minimum of seven up to 25 years in jail.

For now, it is a criminal act to plan or to demonstrate en masse and you will be deemed a threat to security and the army can now be called in to disperse you. 

Imagine, if you will, Potato-Head Dutton taking umbrage at being criticized for lacking compassion, empathy and understanding the rights of humanity and that his concentration camps full of refugees, are illegal and an abomination? Can you imagine his pleasure in sooling the dogs of war onto his own people out of sheer venal spite because he was being held accountable for his malicious cruelty?

No?  Why are we so different to the humanity he has incarcerated illegally for so long?

But wait.. it goes further...concurrent with this gross diminution of free speech and congruent to it, alleged Attorney General, the Un-Christian Porter has sent for trial (in secret) Witness K and his lawyer who blew-the-whistle on Australia's illegal bugging of the Timor-Leste government offices under the aegis of Little Johnny Howard and his cross-dressing Foreign minister Fishnets-that-Batter, Downer eleven years ago.  Then, Australia diddled the Timorese out of their fair share of the oil riches beneath the sea near their coast.

Interestingly, included in the arraigned are four ABC journalists who reported on the nefarious actions of Howard, Downer and ASIO at the time including one, Emma Alberici, who currently is no pin-up gel for the Ruling Rabble.

More interesting is the fact that the Newscorp journo who broke the story in The Ugly American's "Australian" in the first place, has not been called.  Vindictive and petty?

Annabel Crabb was hosting “Insiders,” attempting to replicate Barrie Cassidy who is on leave. Having obviously been fed not only food on her lunch date with Truffles earlier in the week but Ruling Rabble talking points as well, Crabb was outplayed by Wayne Swann who was direct and clear in his answers, something the Ruling Rabble never are and although attempting to find division, she never followed up on a reply to tease out more content, often cutting off the end of Swann’s answer to limit him cementing a case different to the one she was pursuing.

Did we mention that Hissy-Fits Sales was at the lunch with Truffles as well?

It was like reading out a recipe of one star difficulty as the program degenerated with hosting the politically lopsided panel of Saava, Coory and Crowe all sitting and smugly agreeing with each other’s “talking-points” on just what a disaster (in their Murdoched minds) Willie Shortstuff’s tax policy adjustment was and trying to beat up a leadership challenge in the best of the Ugly American’s tradition while ignoring the fact that it was July 1^st and worker's penalty rates were being cut again but with the Prime Miniature and all other pollies simultaneously getting a 2% pay rise: Truffles raking in a $7,000.00 yearly increase ….

The demise of "the Larrikin" was hastened, too when Senate clown and IPA fellow- traveller, Loopy Leyonhjelm in debate about  "respecting the safety of women" (but really wanting them all to be able to buy 7-15 shot Adler 's for their handbags) confused his own more important thoughts to the words spoken by Senator Hanson-Young and in high dudgeon retaliation, told her to "...stop shagging men"....and when she confronted him over this, then told her to "F**K Off!"  Confusing his "libertarian" cover with being an honest larrikin, and being roundly castigated in the press and at interview on this matter Loopy showed all the recalcitrance and indignant outrage of a 14 yo schoolboy pretending not to know what had gone wrong... Nahh, youse dunno anyfing.... ya pussys!  ...and it seems he is obviously garnering favour with the alt-right (he likes his Milo), Patriot Fascists and Tru-blu's for the next senate election.... if they can locate a polling booth, that is ....and read the voting form.

In the British Museum in London there are casts of antiquities, things like Trajan's Column, Assyrian Reliefs, Renaissance sculptures: all copies made 100-150 years ago which are now important as models for degraded or destroyed monuments as they retain more detail than many of the existing originals. So copying can be useful .

Remember when, under Little Johnny Howard the concept of ministerial integrity and honesty began to be devalued? This is where it has led: the most corrupt, self-serving and incompetent ruling rabble ever to afflict this land has Dodo Dutton lying about the fracas on Manus and who says anything? Who in government holds him to account, who in the MSM takes any notice?   No-one.

The Australian Federal Police Force (the militia of the ruling rabble) has been given $320,000,000.00 extra to tackle terrorism.  On the same day the AFP announced that they will not be investigating The Minister for Inhuman Services, Alan Shylock Tudge for leaking to the media, private and personal details of a welfare recipient who wrote an opinion piece for Fairfax Media claiming Centrelink had "terrorised" her over a debt she claimed she did not owe.  Some weeks later, her personal details were supplied to a journalist who wrote a comment piece from the Government's perspective, raising the prospect that Centrelink had been "unfairly castigated". Nice bloke is Shylock.....

AFP is yet to confirm that a few Schekels of its new $320Mill will go toward assisting in banging up alleged fraudster and for Rabid-the-Hun, doyen of the Union movement, Kathy Fingers Jackson whose $1.5 million wealth and spending sprees were seemingly funded by union donations without their approval. Many don't, but I quite like QandA, even though its even handedness is the 50's suburban Sunday lunch with the rellies sort of soiree,  where you-can talk about anything except religion, politics, sex and money; but within its managerial limitations it  does provide the ruling rabble guest an hour to display not only their incompetence but also their sheer lack of imagination. As did Digger Tehan recently, breaking into a sweat trying to justify the waste of $100,000,000.00 for the Sir John Monash museum at Villers-Brettoneaux and then his complete inability (or bloody-mindedness) to contextualize Gonski Mk#2, HECS payments, Uni fees and housing prices… even panellist Danni Addison quipped to him something apropos “… you’ve lost this audience…” and Dave Hughes …well just watch him…in one succinctly accurate analysis of Truffle's body language in meeting with Frump45, Hughes likened Truffles to  a 13 yo girl on a date with Justin Beiber. The program has its moments of truth.

When in NY Truffles had a meeting with his boss, The Ugly American Murdoch. It transpires that media rules will be changed to suit Murdoch's insatiable greed and need for world domination, so we can look forward to his total control over 95% of print, radio and television in the near future. Mitch, Useless Fifield, paper delivery boy to the IPA fatuously opined that this was a great step forward in journalistic and media diversity and agreed that donating $30,000,000.00 to Foxtel to cover women's sport was sound policy ...besides what would the ABC do with it?

Then came, THE BUDGET!

In an admission of failure, Scummo Morrison and Truffles slightly reversed tack from the hard right free market position of the last four years and presented measures they say are "fair," and "balanced."  Apart from filching half baked versions of Labor's policy's, and which given the ruling rabble's complete lack of talent, they will stuff up, does this signal a rejection of all that Rabid-the-Hun and Eleventy once promulgated and, as a corollary, the ideological hard line of the IPA?  The punitive Centrelink regime will stay. Sewers will be searched to track down welfare recipients doing drugs. Pensioners will still be hit, penalty rates are about to go and even though a small tax was levied on the banks to fund the National Disability Insurance Scheme the banks still  have a big tax break around the corner  if The Senate Shysters, Xenephon , Noe Notion, Loopy Leyonhjelm, Bestiality Bernardi and FlappyMouth Hinch vote it in. Education is still being underfunded, Hecs will be taken earlier and TAFE has been cut again.

Fair, balanced?  I think not . It's more smoke and mirrors to try and get over the electoral line again when if they win, surprise, surprise, all the IPA zombie cuts will be back with a vengeance. Trusting this mongrel rabble is not an option in any circumstance.

Needless to say the press, in the main did the obvious and gloated how the rug had been pulled from under Labor's feet and how the ruling rabble were now "governing".

Hissy-Fit Sales did one of her more asinine and disdainful "interviews" with Short-stuff after his budget reply speech where she was solely interested in the when-did-you-stop-beating-your-wife "gotcha" moments and in her inimitably crass fashion, interrupted Short-Stuff every time he seemed to make an answer of substance....and therein  lies the tactic being employed wholesale against Labor, belittle, interrupt, disagree, push the ruling rabble line: Alberici wandering off into fantasy land about Short-stuff getting "rolled " because his colleagues disagreed about his poor taste dog-whistle ad, and let's not say any more about Jack-in-the-Box Probyn, other than that his delivery would be better suited to the Ch 7 Weather report!

And this Petals is the fair and balanced ABC, not the Murdoch run commercials! But then again, Guthrie an ex Murdoch employee is in charge, now!

Which was ironic,  for all those mentioned were also giving glowing testimonials to their late colleague Mark Colvin, eulogising his incisive and intelligent interviewing, sense of history and honest reporting.

Now, where's that slippery slope again ?

The glum faces of the ruling rabble during Short-stuff's budget reply speech put to rest the notion that anything announced in the budget was a social democratic exercise and "Labor-lite."  All the ruling rabble have done is expose their abject mismanagement, the wounded and fully wasted four years of being policy bereft since 2013: nothing has developed except inequality, fear, debt  and the corruption now rife in their ranks.

In another blow to the democratic process it has become known that both the recently resigned technology writer for the ABC, Nick Ross and “Lateline” presenter Emma Albirici were effectively gagged from criticizing Malcon Turdball-fop’s outdated, overtime and cobbled together NBN technology’s as a too expensive mess. 

Apparently anytime Turdball-Fop appeared on "QandA" critical questions both from the audience and online about the NBN have been vetted.

In another demonstration of her unsuitability, (she is Sports Minister as well) as a human, “Flappy-Mouth” criticized Labor for instigating the investigation into the doping scandal at Essendon Football club which has resulted in 34 players being banned from playing for twelve months. Like many of the ruling rabble, ethics is not something she is familiar with.

Well, we were planning it and it has happened.

Which made us think about what it may have been like here in Victoria before it became the “Tardis” State (Where-All-Goes-Backward) and Bully-Boy Kennett tore the State Electricity Commission to pieces, corporatised and then with Little Johnny Howard’s help, privatized it.

Owned by the people of Victoria the SEC actually made a profit and was putting part of that profit into re-newables research like Solar and Wind generation.

This research was one of the first things that “Bully-Boy” Kennett halted.

So now, thank to the imagination and forward thinking of the Liarbrils at both State and Federal levels we, in the Tardis State have a multiplicity of both generation and supply companies.

 Where before there was a single State monopoply with the standardization  and efficiencies of a single standard, each company now “does its own thing” in terms of infrastructure and attempts to make as much profit as it can to send back to its shareholders in either Singapore or Hong Kong!

Could our electricity have been cheaper and less polluting? You bet!

Well we now know, we were really “Jeffed”.

Once services like Telephone, Gas, Water, Electricity, Education and Health have been privatised we have to become complicit as part of the “Market".

We have to “get-our-share” because it’s not a service that is offered any more it’s the opportunityof profit.

Greg Hunt (Liarbril) Federal shadow Minister environment… he of limited (should we say naught?) imagination and of being terminally and factually incorrect, raised a laugh on ABC’s “Q and A” when he boldly stated that “… I can guarantee you that China will never have a Carbon Pricing System!”

Two days later China announces it’s going to institute a Carbon Pricing Scheme to assist in tackling pollution and global warming. Odd that this stupidity doesn't get the run it deserves in the press as this bloke will likely be on the front bench when the Liarbrils win the federal election in September.

On a foot-note:  Shaun Micallef’s “Mad–as-Hell” has returned on ABC TV and given its political insights I’d like to suggest a program switch to ABC management…..

…drop Micallef’s time-slot back to 7:30pm and put “The 7:30 Report” on at 3:30! 
Whether it's a.m. or p.m. really doesn't matter, particularly after L.Sayles' hideously inept interview with Bob Brown over "Sea Shepherd" and the Japanese Whalers in Aussie waters....perhaps a look at the competence of E. Alberici or T. Fullerton might suggest another approach?
