The Saturday Paper headlined its latest edition with "Guthrie dismissal causes chaos at the ABC",  I beg to differ. ... and replace it with "Guthrie and Milne dismissals cause further chaos in the IPA's ruling rabble quest to privatize the public broadcaster."

The week began with the ABC chairman, Gormless Milne announcing that he and the board had sacked the MD, Michelle Guthrie. 

Now for someone who has had a lifetime in the media and was a principal (where his mate ex-prime miniature Truffles made many millions) at Ozemail:  to leave a paper trail pointing at your lack of impartiality and dropping your appointee in it ....and for an ex film editor / film company owner not to able to give a cogent interview to very soft questions in which your answers expose your lies, rather begs the question..... particularly as he and his plotters demonstrated such inept handling with this coup and excised a plethora of entrails for the press to divine... just how suitable was he for the job ? 

A job where he is to support and defend the organization, not kow-tow to political pressure.

So the mayhem begins... Fifi Fifield is apparently informed Sunday night.  Milne apparently tells Scummo Monday morning.....and the Oz, The Ugly American's  Herpes of the press was tipped off, what ....Sunday night, too?

"The chairman of the ABC reportedly told sacked managing director Michelle Guthrie to fire presenter Emma Alberici after former prime minister Malcolm Truffles Turnbull complained about her reporting.

The instruction came in an email from Chairman Milne to Guthrie in May, Fairfax Media reported on Wednesday.

"They [the government] hate her," Mr Milne wrote.

"We are tarred with her brush. I think it's simple. Get rid of her. We need to save the ABC - not Emma. There is no guarantee they [the coalition] will lose the next election."

The comments were reportedly circulated to members of the ABC board a week before Ms Guthrie was sacked on Monday.   Who are now complicit in this political assassination

Probyn (ABC chief political reporter) and Faine (774) have apparently been "discussed" by this politically tainted board as well!   Tom Ballard has his program removed ostensibly for language but really for its anti government satire and JJJ is directed to be "monstered" for showing sensitivity to Indigenous people's feelings....Well, well, well... who'da thought that the ruling rabble and IPA  would censor free speech?

I suppose Petals what this messy week has exposed in just one organization is just how pervasive, destructive, venal, dishonest and damaging this ruling rabble is to anything of value to the nation as a whole which doesn't promote its neo-liberal agenda:  and it comes at no surprise to me although I am probably drawing a long bow here, that suicide figures for Australia released this week show that nationally it is up around by 10% yet here in what was The Tardis State (Where-Everything-Went-Backwards) the suicide rate has dropped by 10%. Could it be that a State government creating a positive mood with long overdue infrastructure programs, creating jobs, building schools, a progressive medical approach and looking after regional areas has, by pointing out a future and actively providing hope for the community, is creating a healthier society?

This was greeted with huge disappointment from PM du jour, Scummo, who firmly believes HE is the second coming or at least the christ almighty for Cronulla! He in turn, announced that having two days to celebrate The Nation's Birthday, Australia Day and an Indigenous Day was just the happy-clapper gospel to unify a divided country. Annie Oakly could be excused for her historical ineptitude though, as she was likely too busy organizing thousands of dollars of RAAF flight timetables to ferry her around the country to sporting events..... a practice obviously well taught by her ex boss the philandering Tomato-Faced, Barnyard Joyce!

The Other Side of The Coin....

I decided that this week to illustrate the anecdotes emanating from this floundering excuse for a federal government with what I think are apposite Still Life images; or Nature Morte, as befitting a moribund ruling rabble. 

The other side of the coin, to lift the skirts to be exposed. It's not looking very good for for the ruling rabble.

Well, is the merde hitting the proverbial or what? And as various ruling rabble non-entities run hither and thither to avoid the stinking spattering fallout from the Royal Commission into the banks and financial services they keep tripping themselves up in the most ludicrous ways.

There was Kelly, Shadduppa-Yo-Face O' Dwyer sort of recanting on her silliness with Barrie Cassidy and admitting, sort of, that they well, might have got the political timing of the RC possibly wrong. Echoing her leader, Truffles Turnbull's lines she was then eviscerated by actor Peter Capaldi reprising his foul-mouthed bullying political advisor character from "The Thick of It"  on "The Project" calling her all sorts of deliciously nasty things and that, "...she was all over the place, like shit in a paper bag." It's interesting to note that even the conservative media are now finding it impossible not to treat this flailing rabble with the contempt it deserves.

Following a complaint from the last failed prime miniature, Rabid-the-Hun at being called by ABC's rhyming political rapper Andrew Probyn, "...the most destructive politician of the generation." Rabid said,  "... he wasn't looking for an apology ...but should get one," Michele, The-Gutless Guthrie, MD of the ABC, promptly slapped Probyn's wrist for telling the truth and issued an apology and correction to Rabid, further genuflecting to the right-wing of the ruling rabble and further diminishing the standing of one of the last credible news sources in Australia.

Many others also amended Probyn's unusual eruption of truth, correcting his statement about Rabid to read: " The most destructive politician in Australia's history." Which is pretty accurate.

Macron of France has been here and told Truffles to find some balls re: climate change and to do more to address Global Warming also saying that Truffle's wife Lucy was "delicious."  I think Macron must be short-sighted and had confused Lucy with Julia Zemiro... who is.

 And deliciously talented to boot.

Macron must have been bemused with the news that The Pussy Grabber, Trump is sending climate-denier environment chief  Scott Pruitt to have a two hour "round-table" with "excellent people" from the IPA who, according to the IPA's Roskam, would teach the American's a thing or two.

Le Jongleur Roskam's fantastical parallel universe had him touting the panel's Jennifer Marohasy, as “Australia’s authority on temperature and climate variability”(....a person who has accused the Bureau of Meterology of corrupting the temperature record.... I kid you not, Petals), but revelling in his self-appointed king-making and anointing, Le Jongleur suggested too that Maurice, "Global-Warming-is-a-Delusion" Newman would be a kindred spirit!

It has not been announced whether all attending will be wearing costumes from the Bar scene in Star Wars.

IPA thoughts on Civil Society

Truffles lost one of his Financial Sector Advisory Council members when disgraced departing AMP chief exec Craig Mellor stepped away because he has been less than honest with the federal regulator about charging customers fees for no service.

But we've not done anything wrong, bleat the AMP board as the council assisting calls for criminal charges to be laid....and the public sees clearly that not only are the banks and financial advisers in it for themselves and not their customers but that the gene pool for Board appointees is as shallow as the talent pool for the ruling rabble.

That that pool is exceedingly shallow was evidenced by four brain farts erupting late  this week. One by (the currently unfortunately named) Julia Banks who in rejecting calls for the dole to be increased, opined that although her parliamentary salary is around $200,000.00 and owning five properties, she could live on $40.00  per day. 

Now, there's stupid, there's really stupid and there's also the mind-numbing social irrelevance and blinkered greed, common to ruling rabble types. I dare say her Victorian electoral seat has already suffered the 2% margin reversal it needs to return Labor at the next federal election if the Twitter/ Farcebook storm is anything to go by.

Petals, I really have never known what's in the water in the Deep North but apart from lately having multiple councillors of the conservative ilk up on criminal and fraud charges, up popped the Lame-Brained Andy Laming to pontificate on education. Saying that teachers should work the same hours as everyone else, should only have four weeks holiday a year, not be doing any prep or marking at home Andy Lame-Brain also intimated that the new Gonski proposals were a sell out to the teacher unions. These idiocies were generally supported by ex ruling rabble senator Suzie Boyce who on "The Drum" said dismissively that people only became teachers as it was a simple job with good holidays...or some such merde.

It should be noted that neither of these has taught in a classroom and one surmises that their contempt for the profession at least in one case, would come from a private education and ability to rort entitlements!

Rather than look to country's like Finland as exemplars these ruling rabble types prefer the divisiveness of a fractured system, as it suits their political agenda.

Fourth and last fart off the rank was Tony Shepherd, railing against the Business Council of Australia being effectively questioned in Senate Committee; accusing questioners of a "witch-hunt" and that they were driven by political self interest in wanting to know what the BCA members would do with 65 billions of taxpayer money they may be given.

Now, self-interest... I think Tones knows a bit about that.... social responsibility... not as much.

The BCA btw, are wanting to put together a "donation" fund of $25,000,000.00 to "educate" the  taxpayer whom they say will be well served by giving them $65,000,000,000.00 and which, they assure us, will trickle down .... eventually... perhaps...sometime.  It's a pity that many of those donating cannot afford to pay tax in the first place and BCA's  Westacott expresses surprise that anyone could possibly question the motives and intentions in such a fulsome propaganda fest.

Have we Stockholm Syndrome?

Stockholm Syndrome: do we Aussies have the first recorded example of a nation-wide case?

Where a hostage develops positive feelings for the captor;

the hostages prefer not to act against their captors legally;

and where the hostage takes on the same values as their captor so as not to be seen as a threat.

Let's look at some recent events and note how nationally we have responded.

If any further evidence was needed that the ABC has been effectively gutted, (apart from the fascist "pulling" of Emma Alberici's critical analysis of Scummo Morrison's and Truffles Proposed Trickle Down tax cuts for big business' who pay no tax anyway…because it didn't meet management's IPA guidelines ) well, we had von Onanism from the Oz and Shari Mark-up from the Terragraph proselytising for their respective Ugly American's Murdoch right-wing propaganda sheets for a full half of the 7.30 Report at taxpayer expense.

Caballing with an ever compliant Hissy-Fit Sales about the salient points of Barnyard Joyce's penetrating personality and his ability to get-it-up whilst blotto, their consensus ended up being a justification that they have now "seemed" to have let loose the Dog's of  tabloid war on pollies personal lives a'la UK Daily Mirror.  

I might be naive but I thought the Ugly American Murdoch tabloids did that around 2011-13 to destroy Julia Gillard in the public's mind.

Talk about a cynical pre-emptive excuse for pillorying Labor in the next 10 months and forever after in the Brit fashion of sleazy innuendo and "gotcha" interviews that effectively masks any real news content to suit what the powers that be, want.

Unfortunately for us and fortunately for Barnyard the MSM who already knew  about Barnyard's corruption, family issues and more, decided not to report it till after his bye-election was completed.

Keeping the electors in the dark which in anyone's terms, is partisan and dishonest.

On the same day, Truffles reverted to being a prefect instead of  prime miniature.

In his best tin-ear-for-politics sophistry, he announced that bonking your staff is now a not do-able but an offence; not that bonking someone else staffer was not-on and that he would be handing out prophylactics only on request.

Truffles, overplaying his natural prefect manner only succeeding in further denigrating and making a greater joke of our parliament than it already has become under this ruling rabble. Making it less relevant in the public mind but also reminding an already demeaned Barnyard that he was very, very naughty boy and should probably consider saying 10 Hail Mary's!

But doubling down on pathetic; Barnyard then returned fire, blowing Rasberries, squaring up and spitting, he was a Nat! "We don't take orders from no-one, Truffles… so there! Just look at Fat George of the Deep North threatening to shoot Greenies… he's a good fun sort… just the sort of family values we all aspire to."

Truffles then announced that Horse-Shite Cormann was to be his deputy as he sashayed off to brown-nose with Un-president Strumpet of the Un-united States whilst giving away $2 Trillion of our superannuation monies to fund Yankee infrastructure, effectively snotting Barnyard whose role it was supposed to be and sending him on sick leave; in the process, keeping Asbestos Bishop at arm's length, too.

It was never announced whether the Foreign Affairs Department had supplied translators for any "presser" Horse-shite mumbled.

Barnyard, refreshed after twenty minutes of his "sick" leave went touring his bailiwick and discovered a loving populace wearing sackcloth and ashes, rending their garments and wailing pitifully outside his now-for-lease (recently re-furbished at $650,000.00 taxpayer expense) electoral office, at the unfairness of his treatment by a "witch-hunting" media and begging him, Pied Piper-like to lead them to the promised Billabong where the water, unlike the Murray/Darling he oversaw, never runs out.

Unfortunately, in the midst of this emotional electoral apotheosis came news that the Wicked Witch of the Nat's, West had dumped on Barnyard after having seen the complaint that He-had-(allegedly)-drunkenly-pinched-a woman-on-the-derriere in 2011, sort of confirming that he WAS a very, very, very, serially naughty boy and he, more or less promptly, fell on his plough share!

But what a self indulgent not-confession, but a litany of pissed-off-ed-ness issued from Barnyard high above Tamworth in his final Sermon from the Mount !

The corrupt philanderer STILL doesn't get it that he IS, was and always will be the problem that brought him undone!

Dodo Dutton performed a sonorously mind-numbing and inelegantly phrased right-wing epistle in his best inflection-free monotone last Wednesday for his first (and for us hopefully, his last) performance at the National Press Club. Confirming his detestation of fairness and equality Dodo proceed to enlighten us on the virtues of where no red tape and cheap foreign workers correspond: how freedom from having any ability to hide ones personal life from his pet para-military, Border-Farce, will make life simpler:  and how marching with right arm outstretched at 30* whilst singing The Horst Wessel will inculcate Strine Valyews of a particularly rancid Deep North sort.

Goose-Stepping behind in agreement with this idea was Horse-Shite, possibly remembering fondly all those fun songs and salutes his grandparents were probably encouraged to participate in. 

Small-Minded Business Minister Craig Laundy goes off the map in parliament. …….  "McManus-stan, (trade union boss, Sally McManus) that alternate universe, where the general, the superior leader, Sally McManus, that puppet master and her two favourite marionettes, the member for Gorton and the leader of the opposition, where she is pulling the strings hard every day."

Apart from just sounding like an idiot  and making parliament a waste of time, perhaps we could excuse Pie-Face because he may well have foetal alcohol syndrome ?

Petals, in the week that all this happened a poll came out. With the mayhem, insanity, abundant corruption , lying, rorting and generalised malfeasance you would probably expect that this ruling rabble would have been shot to ribbons. Not the case: Labor Up 1, Ruling Rabble: Down 1

Are we like the Stockholm Syndrome afflicted, now so immured in the dross of this country we can no longer see right from wrong , see a positive future over and above the muck, lies and destruction the ruling rabble are perpetrating? Can we no longer see that our press and particularly the only independent media, the ABC is  NOT reporting what is really happening in this IPA fantasy world?

Pulling the Pin on Baubles of Bodgie Cheer

'Tis the Silly Season and the insanity surrounding us is becoming worse.

In the Un-united States a Happy-Clapper nutter (is there any other sort?) has foretold of the Apocalypse happening at the end of the year when Jesus is to return. 

Given that the Anti-Christ seems to have recently arrived early in the fractured States and that Death, Famine, Conquest  and War have been their stock in trade for the past 70 years, I don't think he's much at prophesy... but just in case the nutter is correct, I'd advise Jesus to A/ get a nose job, B/ blonde his hair and C/ bleach his skin a tad as people of Middle Eastern appearance are now less than welcome in Western Democracies and he might well find himself  banged-up in Guantanamo Bay doing a re-education course for having the temerity to think he could ever compete in the god stakes!

Belonging to  the Party of Individualism and Libertarianism, Liarbril, Stephanie Ross (a Pro-Life campaigner ) has announced that there are limits to others freedoms and that women should not be allowed abortions, even in cases of pregnancy through rape ... that the raped women "will-get-over-it-through-the-love-of-the-child".  How this childless young woman knows this apart from "divine conversation" as she prepares to knock off the sitting member of Narracan, is anyone's guess but it is nice to see the Liarbril Party eschewing it's C19th attitudes and returning to its more natural home of C12th medievalism.

With Australia about to lose its AAA credit rating due to the deficit growing eight-fold under the incompetent "stew"ardships of  Eleventy Hockey, Horse-Shite Cormann, Kelly Shadduppa-Ya-Face O' Dwyer and Scummo Morrison  many are asking why there is no longer the "Budget Emergency"?

Well, there is but it's not being reported with the same rabid fervour in the Ugly American Murdoch's media that we saw when Labor were in charge. 

In fact, most attention seems to be on a couple of Labor premiers who are actually "doing things" for their respective states instead of the shambles we see in the ruling rabble at a national level. 

Apart from being the most practiced of liars the ruling rabble's other finely honed skill is the "Look-over-There" diversionary tactic.

With Fictions Frydenberg, Minister for Coal-Mines and Banning Alternative Energy making the mistake the other day of announcing that a Carbon Tax might be looked at again and after copping the ire of Bestiality Bernardi, he looked even more foolish in his pathetically craven retreat when it was announced that a carbon tax would lower electricity bills by some $15 billion over the next ten years and when a Dr Ottaviano from a pioneering wave power company in SA said that because of the climate policy chaos and bumbling from the ruling rabble they would not provide the predictable power available from tides but build their first commercial plant off the coast of Cornwall in England where the policy support for renewables is more solid. 

No wonder this IPA led Australia has become a joke internationally.

Truffles', You-Beaut-3rd- Rate-Copper-Wire-NBN is about to miss it's promised targets of being finished by the end of 2016 and being cheaper than Labor's state-of-the-Art  Fibre model. In fact there is talk that, against the advice of their own expert panel they are going to slug another tax onto regional districts in order to defray costs on this world ranked, 60th in broadband speed.

Ahh... are we seeing examples of how shit rises to the top?

Another of Truffles more idiot choices being Michelle Guthrie, who is dismembering and disembowelling the ABC... the other day in response to journalists who wanted to know how they would do "hard" news with all her cuts Guthrie responded that she would have liked the piece on refugee children in the Manus concentration camp to have shown more "... happy children!" ??????

Now week four and the DD (Delusional Duo) are spending gazillions of other people's money zipping about the country gagging journalists (mostly from the ABC) and obfuscating with foggy half truths and often in the Liarbrils case, outright lies, which will not be picked up by the "fact-check" 'cause it's been cut from the budget (all $100,000:00 worth)  and will not be re-instated by the new Murdoch appointee Michele Guthrie as it would not help the Liarbril cause if people actually knew what was really planned..... if they did they really might start to riot.

Hmmm... "Horse-Shite" Cormann praising Willie Shortstuff, Chwissie "The Whyning" Pyne telling us we don't really need fast broadband and "Barnyard" Joyce conflating the surge in boat arrivals under Labor with their decision to halt live beef exports to Indonesia...and another of their candidates bailing out, citing no help from a "divided party on a knife edge."

Barely three weeks into the election campaign and it seems the ruling rabble are a trifle rattled and are showing a lack of capacity for the hard work of disciplined and focused campaigning.

Perhaps because their right-wing IPA driven agenda that offers the majority of the electorate nothing except social divisiveness and disadvantage is becoming more apparent that they are confused as to what to say.

One of the Liarbril candidates "crashed" one of "Willie Shortstuff's" meet and greet sessions and made a complete "dick" of himself by rounding on the journo's when he couldn't answer to his party's policy on health. Not willing to "fess-up" that it's "Stay Healthy and Wealthy, 'Cause We Don't Care," candidate Chwissie "Vermin" Jermyn, stuffed himself into his vehicle and drove off to escape the publicity that his poor minder then had to contend with. His car was later photographed parked on a "nature strip" next to a sign saying "No Parking," so you can see he seems the perfect Liarbril candidate. Rude, stupid, self centered and un-electable!  Eat your heart out, Jamie Diaz, you're no longer a solo act! 

Where do these people come from and how in dog's name do they get pre-selected?

Labor's "Big Red's captain's pick," Nova Peris has bailed out of the Senate, too...only to cop a barrage of racist criticism, particularly from those intellectual minnows Greg "Toady" Sheridan and "Blot-on-The-Landscape" Bolt who opined that she had "....gone walkabout...!"

Truffles verged on the histrionic with his patrician set-pieces that generally went nowhere near answering the questions put whilst Willie sounded somewhat more convincing after he left the script and became more animated. Moderator (Interrogator?), Chris Uhlmann couldn't help his bias emerging by questioning Willie himself ( I don't recall Truffles being subjected to this) and interrupting Willies' answers.... and the little synopsis scripts at bottom of screen were often quite misleading or biased..... it seems that "The Ugly American's" woman now running what's left of the National broadcaster was on the job and that "balance" like privacy, honesty, ethical behaviour and humanity is soooo last century!
 

I think the Liarbrils are almost in tatters.... their policy vacuum is becoming more apparent day by day and even their "chosen one" "Horse-shite" Cormann is failing in his robotic deliverance's. Labor's Feeney's mess is a pinprick compared to the "own goals" this ruling rabble have kicked....particularly as it has now come to light that "Eleventy" Hockey, failed Treasurer and now Ambassador of Embarrassment to Washington,  looks as though back in 2012 he was fiddling his "cab-charges" whilst telling us the "Age of Entitlement is over" and calling for the sacking of "Slippery Pete" on a similar, though smaller matter. I'll bet the AFP wont be investigating Eleventy's alleged rorts! .....  the next two weeks will be very interesting... probably with Mandy "Il Patrone"  Vanstone with Little Johnny-Who-Lost-His-Seat again trotted out as "the nearly believable" Liarbrils as the press don't have to ask them about where the money came from...and who sent it and was it Chinese this time, not that Italian mafioso from Brunswick and doesn't Cory B still equate marriage equality with bestiality and does Stevie "Slit-Her-Throat" Ciobo really stand up for Women's Rights?

Replicating the street stoushes between the Nazi's and the Communists of late 20's early 30's Germany, the misnamed United Patriot Front brazenly attended a rally in Coburg that was supposed to celebrate multi-culturalism and tolerance in the hope of harassing and disrupting the march. Confronted with opposition by anti-fascist activists, a brawl broke out and it seems the fascist got the worst of it.  Although claiming "victory,"( i.e. "...we started a fight") the over-steroided front man for the UPF only succeeded looked like the dim-witted school-boy bully he is. "Blah," as some call him, would have been naively happy though, that one of his hysterically inept video's made after the fracas, was given 15 seconds worth of  fame on TV news and where this sad creature was further exposed to justified ridicule.

Not wishing to confront the fact that Australia is becoming a xenophobic, racist, ugly and insular country, commentators are concentrating on saying how naughty it is for the "antifa" boys and girls to wear face masks and belt the fascists with flag poles while the police pepper spray photographers as the fighting goes on around them. Missing the point or blind to reality?
