What a tangled web....

Hmmm... really?

G'day Petals,

Well "Truffles" now has his ruling rabble Mk2... and the fun is about to begin.

I think he'll be the weakest prime miniature we have ever seen.

Unlikely to be able contain his fractious right-wingers, the bovine Notionals, the rancid influence of the IPA who'll want their scorched earth policy toward civil society re-ignited for their final push or the fractured Senate whose individual agendas are going to be too taxing for a rabble who have shown that bullying, not negotiating is what they do best. The train wreck is being set up.

He's not trusted... for good reason: the paucity of the "JobsonGrowth/ Economic Plan" the lies over medicare, unions and much else have seen half the population nearly send these incompetents to the opposition benches after a single term in office. To expect anything other than a return to the shambles of the past three years would be miraculous, particularly as they have no policy agenda that will not forment genuine demonstrations on a large scale.

Sophie "Pit-Bull has been rejected by the electorate of Indi ....again. Good riddance to bad rubbish.... Liarbrils close office in Indi... The Pit-Bull has finally been kennelled.

Non-Immigration Minister Dodo Dutton has blamed bikies, union thugs, activists and "sneaky" Labor tactics for his plummeting popularity in the Queensland seat of Dickson.
Dodo was ahead by just 1250 votes in a two-candidate contest with Labor's Linda Lavarch. It represents a 5.8 per cent swing against him - far more than that suffered by the Coalition nationwide.
His seat in now marginal.... much like his intelligence.
Of course it had nothing to do with his cruel, bloody incompetence, fascist leanings and "loose-cannon" comments..... did it?

Uncle Otto's boy, Eric "Feldwebel, Vichy"Abetz has also blamed GetUp for eliminating the odious Generalissimo Nikolic from the seat of Bass (seems he made people in Bass wince with his attentiveness to them) and fulminated that they should lose their charity status. Unfortunately it's the IPA who have a charity status, not GetUp: but Feldwebel "Vichy" Abetz is never one to let facts get in the way of a good rant. And "Truffle's" other "good-idea" to change the Senate voting system has seen "Vichy" Abetz' vote diminish to the point where the No:#2  on the ticket is nearly ahead of him.... which suggests that his own side think he's "off", too.

Western Hwy near Horsham
Western Hwy near Horsham
Perhaps "GetUp" might get a "gong' in the next Australia Day awards for assisting in eliminating the noxious  Nikolic..... just like the "gong" that mining type did for his campaign against the Rudd / Gillard mining super profits tax?

Truffles Turdball has denounced Pauline Hansen... what pity he didn't denounce the ones with similar views in his own rabble!

Frydenberg, the Cormann lite of ruling rabble Mk2 is being touted as a new leader of the liarbrils.... Can't answer a question without sliding into cant, obfuscates, makes no sense and sounds increasingly irrelevant. So, this is one of their best "talents"?
Asbestos Julie is the same; platitudes and spin and when faced with a real question trots out another stock phrase and slogan.... one wonders whether if they're even aware of the meaningless of their answers as they're so practiced at it?

park, Adelaide
Adelaide....
Sydney Liarbril Charlie Lyn, said voters were also concerned by Labor's so-called Medicare scare campaign.  Mr Lynn said the party should have moved quickly to counter the campaign. "They didn't react at all, again there was a great disconnect. They should have launched a counterattack straightaway," he said. "It's not as if we don't have ... we've got access to the best advertising agencies in Australia, we've got the pollsters, everybody. If we couldn't think of something to do that within 24 hours, we deserve what we got."
Which is precisely what's wrong.
His comments were revealing as to the complete absence of attention to policy rather than the mechanics of power that fixate the desiccated minds of these born-to-rule irrelevancies.  They care only about power and being office boys to other vested interests... and their entitlements rorting, dodgy electoral fundraising, blatant policy dishonesty as well as the continuous lying that all points to egregious self interest, not national interest.
Now this is a scare campaign? By whom?
So the wrong-headed hubris of ruling rabble#2 is no different, except that many in the electorate see that these bitching "emperors"really have no clothes. All the "bed wetters" are pissing over each other....How Freudian they all are.. very funny really....next they'll be playing with their faeces... oh, hang on... they are!
I think it is interesting that the IPA agenda which is never enunciated but thoroughly implemented (disastrously as it is turning out) by the ruling rabble has come closer to being exposed than ever before.
When the ruling rabble have been proven to be the "outrageous liars" they accuse everyone else of being (like psychopathic narcissists), and when their credibility is probably at an all time low it is time to attack them on this matter.
Which IPA policy is being implemented next ? Let's see them defend this and not a meaningless three word slogan.

A special thank you must be sent to the failing abilities of Mark Textor with his handling of the Liarbril election debacle. It wasn't quite as bad as his Canadian effort but it has got some of the ruling rabble openly questioning his hitherto "Guru" status as a machine man; except of course for the mincing Chwissie Pyne the Whyne who thinks his ruling rabble Mk2 are an "election winning machine"....what a pity that the national Liarbril vote was only 28%.
"AMA president Michael Gannon welcomed Malcolm Turnbull's acknowledgement that there was work to do. "What this election has shown to us is that health is at the centre of everyone's thinking when they cast their vote," Dr Gannon told AM. "It is a moral imperative of governments to prioritise the health of its citizens, and I think what we've seen in the last few days is that it's a political imperative as well."
Dr Gannon said throughout the election campaign the AMA had called on the Coalition to review parts of its health policy. "Most notably of those, the freeze on patient rebates for seeing GPs and other specialists; that was number one in the AMA's campaign," he said."
Pyne delivers... Pyne... oh dear...

Head-Space is in a spin with its CEO and 1/2 the board resigning. Seems that stripping its functions to be just an advisory body to "other " (private) health providers is not really privatization!

And for a good read on the strategy of the Labor campaign I can recommend this blog:
Lastly, Mrs Wombat and I went to Adelaide for the funeral of a close relative of mine.... an event which relates to the title as well as the election outcome also this weeks pics of South Australia.
It was a surreal experience to listen to the "celebrant's" hagiography eliminating all of the deceased persons real family from existence and re-structuring history into a more convenient middle-class narrative. There was a clinically determined excision of fact that seemed to occur some 25-30 years previously and which were probably replaced by a self-help book or three.     We both found many "Cleaver Green" moments during the eulogies when a anguished, Cleaver-ish, "Ooohhh Ffffff******K" could have been loudly emitted and I later thought that it would have been interesting to watch the guests response to standing up Cleaver-like filling in the historical gaps, rehabilitating the family, re-calibrating some "truths" and puncturing the overblown hagiography. But I was tamely polite and didn't.
So the lie will be maintained for those it serves.
Anyway.... we can highly recommend "Pepe Cucina" in Glenside for its food and the relaxed ease and attention of its service.... for dinner we had:
Tagliata :   Chargrilled aged beef, rocket, parmigiano and balsamic
Spinaci Sautéed spinach, garlic and chilli

Taglierini tartufati Marscapone, truffle and parmigiano

Insalata verde

Mediterrane Sangiovese

Bega Beauties

Shane at Bega
Shane  at Bega
G'day Petals,

Mrs Wombat and I  took a little trip North to the East coast of NSW t' other day.

To say that it is very beautiful country understates its quality and to ignore eating its Oysters, a sin of omission.

Beginning week two of the election campaign saw the TV "Logies" awarded. On winning the "Gold" Logie, Waleed Ali an Egyptian born Muslim and commentator of acute sensibility began his acceptance speech with, "Do not adjust your sets....." and finished with  "....I'm sure you have an app which will return your colour to its normal tone."
Having been subjected to quite severe and nastily stupid criticism with another contender, newsreader Lee Lin Chin for even being promoted as worthy of a "gong," Ali's later comments as to the importance of the award demonstrated with his balanced and thoughtful approach the reason for his success.
Proving just how worthy of the award Ali was a couple of evenings later, Timmy "Twat -ex Freedom Boy- IPA Clone- and presumptive Member for Goldstein" Wilson was asked on "The Drum" for his opinion on the win.  Unable to entangle his small mind from the "Free-Market" rote he spouts automatically, Timmy's mouth pursed into a sphincter-like dot as he gracelessly avoided Waleed Ali's success entirely and clumsily spat out a "...congratulations to all the winners". If ever there was a compare and contrast test of intelligence, wit and capacity for humanity, this was it; and the contemptible and miserably untalented Timmy, failed. Again.
Malacoota
Malacoota

That same night on QandA forms of the ruling rabble in the guise of Kelly "Shaduppa-Yo-Face" O' Dwyer and Innes Willox, CEO of The Australian Industry Group scored "own goals" when audience member Duncan Storrar simply asked why is it the wealthy get tax cuts and people like himself who are really struggling get nothing? The loquacious O'Dwyer gave an interestingly arcane example of how a $6,000.00 toaster to a cafe owner she knew would create more jobs and Willox whose tie would have probably cost more than Storrar's weekly wage, said that as he paid no tax on a low wage what was he complaining about!
Storrar reminded him that he paid GST on everything he bought and that made his circumstance more parlous than someone on $80,000.00 P.A.
The audience cheered and smelled capitalist blood !
The upshot of all this was that another audience member set up a crowd-funding site to buy Duncan a toaster..... which has since raised $60,000.00 which he has said he will use for his two daughter's education.
Not only a sublime exposition of the tawdry fallacies behind the theory of "Trickle-Down" economics and the arrogance of those who would promote it but it also allowed the gutter tactics of "The Ugly American" Murdoch's propaganda sheets to be reprised by going into overdrive to besmirch Storrar's reputation for having the temerity to question the Ruling Rabble's "Right-to-Rule".

If anyone now doesn't see how our Democracy works, they really are blind, stupidly blind.
Pambula

"The Ugly American" controls around 80% of news services in this country which perhaps explains why the ruling rabble can feel confident that their hubris and lying will not cause them much grief...Dominatrix, Peta "Bloody-Idiot" Credlin now moonlighting as a commentator on commercial TV slapped Prime Miniature "Truffles" Turdball around a bit by calling him "Mr. Harbour-side Mansion" and suggested that his election tactics are poor. She was happily supported in this  by her lap-dog and ex PM, Rabid-the-Hun who found her soliloquy "....absolutely riveting."
It was not known whether Rabid had a mouthful of onion at the time.
Rabid has kicked off his own campaign with a cohort of the remnants of  "Team Australia", (Warringah Chapter) bedecked in uniform "T's" and wildly cheering as their jut-jawed fuehrer strode amongst them instilling steel into them for the final solution... er, push!

Sophie "Pit-Bull" Mirabella is blaming her own side for "leaking" against her... geez, Soph...  why would they bother... you did such a good job of shooting yourself in the foot two or three times last week that do you really think they need to do that?

In conversation with locals throughout the trip, when the subject of politics came up, more often than not a sense of resignation and even frustration was expressed as to where the country is heading. Sometimes there was mild anger, but with all an expectation that issues like manufacturing, foreign ownership, social equity, health, education and jobs be addressed.

Corryong
Corryong
That the ruling rabble's grip on power is looking decidedly shaky in their first term and with both Victoria and Queensland having tossed out in their first terms, incompetent "Free-Market" conservative administrations, the future for this less than adroit cabal in Canberra looks terminal.
But if they do manage through the agency of "The Ugly American's"  propaganda sheets to maintain power, there is I think, little leeway for them to repeat the mistakes already perpetrated on the nation.
The simmering frustrations might not as they have in the past, be held in check. The mood is different.

Finale BIFB 2013

 Finale BIFB 2013
Episode 6

G’day Petals,
the 2013 Ballarat Foto Biennale finished last night with a small gathering of volunteers and some of the fringe photographers.

shane wombat bfib '13 finale
Shane at finale w/DD

I managed to see some 62 of the “fringe”, missing around 1/3.
Generally I tried to process through a single circuit to both limit excessive travel and see as many exhibits as possible. The ones missed were due either to the venues being closed on the particular day of visit or in some cases the venues own layout, particularly in the case of multiple shows, where deciding what was fringe and what was store product took too much time given its constraints.
Venues missed for whatever reason, if in outlying areas, were not returned to and others were just accidentally missed.
Clusters of venues and venues with multiple shows stood a greater chance of being seen and those within the confines or near “Core” shows also were advantaged as were the 9-5, 7 day a week venues.
How long I stayed in a venue obviously depended on my response to the work and if in a café, whether it was interesting enough to balance the irritation to the patrons seated underneath and if thework could actually be seen amongst the visual and physical clutter of the shop.

Presentation and labelling generally was better than the 2011 Biennale Fringe and print quality mostly very good. (I’ve already admitted the embarrassment of having to re-print and re-mount four of my works mid show because of delamination).
I still wonder whether some of the “fringe” exhibitors seriously consider how their works fit their chosen venue, be it regarding content, scale, framing or number of works.
As “Fringe’ contributors really have a more difficult road-to-hoe: with their venues mostly not designed for exhibition purposes they need to apply finer consideration and judgement to these criteria to allow their work to speak.
It seemed to me here that few “Fringe” people actually saw their work as a total aesthetic construct.  Big is not always better;  small inappropriate in some cases too; mid sized can be neither here nor there and quantity, which worked brilliantly in some cases, bombed in others… criticisms which can be levelled at some of the “Core”, too.
With those criteria in mind, from 2/3 of the “Fringe” visited what was my  “Pick-of-the-Litter”?
The works that have “stuck” with me were produced by:

David Simmonds / Sandra Curtis, Eric Algra, Jeff Moorfoot, Julie Hough, Simon Peterswald, Senga Peckam, James Niven, Darron Davies, Danica McLean, Sandra Elms, Anthony Baxter and finally Alison Spence / Denise Regan.
Julie Hough and Jeff Moorfoot

The Program Booklet: visually simpler than 2011 but for some reason the exhibitors names were now listed alphabetically which meant constantly scrabbling back and forth as you went in a linear, numerical walk around the venues.
Dyslexic.
Maps were functional but the “Observatory” probably needs its own page/ GPS/App/footprints on the footpath/ plume of coloured smoke.
Most visitors I spoke to were far less critical of the program than in 2011.
It will be interesting to see what Ballarat Foto Biennale 2015 brings…. I’ve started on mine already.

The quiet is the lie.
Trust us!

Four asylum seeker boats have arrived since “Rabbott’s” erection to the prime miniature-ship.
Where’s the press hysteria of the past three years?
Trust us!
The past mistress of the caustic comment, Sophie”Pit-Bull” Mirabella is proving that the love you give out comes back.

And the Liarbril candidate for McEwan, Donna Petrovich is probably wishing she had attended more public meetings.
“Rabbott” has been seen in set piece “directorial conversations” which should be filmed in black and white as they look positively like archaic propaganda from the cold war.
Message from all this: Everything-is-under-control-nothing-is-happening-you-can-all-relax.
(Repeat three times, before food)
Trust us!
Much like “Rabbott’ slogan-speak and repetition of old Liarbril “comfort-words”, it might be worth him noting that you can’t step into the same stream twice.
Trust us!
“Pit-Bull’s” awful result might be a warning shot to the likes of Steve ”Slash-her-Throat” Ciobo and Cory “Beastiality” Bernardi but they’re from the Far North and are different.
Also in the Far North, Qld’s attorney-general Jarrod Bleijie, banned the Labor party from accepting campaign donations from unions, so apart from how to vote cards, candidates Lucy Stanton and Bill Gissane in Fisher had no financial help.
Mal Brough”s war chest (He who illegally accessed Peter Slipper’s private notes in “Ashby-Gate”) on the other hand was estimated at $400,000.
Something rough about the edges here?
Trust us!

Which makes me think of that  “Nice Mr Turnbull”.
He’s beginning to remind me of Joachim von Ribbentrop, a pretend aristo who thought he could rise above the thugs surrounding him in 30's - 40's Germany.

...to see the Fat Lady Sing.

and the Ballarat Foto Biennale Fringe ‘13
Episode 5

G’day Possums,
being “The Age of Selfies” and not wanting to be left out I just had to grab an opportunity on election day with Labour MLA for Ballarat East, Geoff Howard.
Geoff Howard MLA
selfie with Geoff Howard
We were at the polling booth handing out how-to-vote cards … an exercise remarkable for experiencing the variety of responses an electorate can display and if you think you know your area’s demographic: stand around a polling booth for a couple of hours. It’s is a perfect way to be informed that you probably don’t
It was a day for old friends, being joined by an one at the booth and later travelling up to Ballarat to meet two others to wander around the 2013 Ballarat Foto Biennale.
We had arranged to meet at my exhibition venue, “The Bean Barn” where we also met Barbara Smith, photographer from Canberra and happily received compliments from a couple of other visitors looking at the show.

Shane and a shy BS at Bean Barn
One of the really good things about the Foto Biennale are these chance meetings and conversations.  Points of view, experiences and ideas are exchanged and you understand better how the event has affected people and how they see “Photography” and its contemporary development.
Good too, was the opportunity to re-view various exhibitions and debate the merits of works seen before and at times re-evaluate your impressions in the light of another’s vision and opinion.

Well as the title says ….The Fat Lady has Sung… and

the Age of the Aspirational Bogan has arrived

“Rabbott” has won his “Murdoch” mandate and duly paraded his daughters as Vestal-Virgin “eye-candy” on the altar of his ambition.
Trust us!
Kev 07+6 oddly looked jolly happy and seemed in defeat to have taken a cue from the Rob Oakeshott method of 20-minute-speech-making.
The Labor vote was at its lowest in 100 years: the swing throughout the nation was uneven and the rout wasn’t nearly as bad as the right-wing trolls advertised for.
The funniest result is that Liarbril, Opposition Minister for Manufacturing, Sophie “Pit-Bull” Mirabella looks like she’ll lose her seat to a conservative independent. With a swing of nearly 10% this time, “Pit-Bull” has managed to take the very safe Liarbril seat of Indi to a marginal one in her twelve years as member.

Well done, Sophie!

Consistent (?) with the “truth” of his relentless messaging that everything was in crisis “Rabbott” is now saying “…we’ll be methodical, thoughtful, measured and careful”…. as we plod our way back to the 1950’s.
Trust us!

The first act this “Government-for-grown-ups” enacted was a pay-back: a petty, vindictive and malicious revocation of ex Labor premier Steve Bracks’ appointment as Consul-General to New York..... a few days before he and family were to leave.
Trust us!
Incoming Attorney-General, George “Loose-Lips” Brandis opined that Labor had given Mr Bracks the job as ''a gift''. ''Mr Bracks has no obvious credentials for that job.” He said.
Trust us!

Watch this man… when his slit of a mouth opens.. unvarnished truth is rarely spilt.
Trust us!

The Stalinist Revisionist history method is well under way by the Liarbrils but it would seem that the “social” media is not going to allow them the luxury of constant uncontested lying any more.
The most Jurassic candidate to win a seat, Clive “Titanic2” Palmer (leader of PUPS) has with millions spent, yapped his way into parliament with two senate candidates as well. Disagreeing on policy already,"Titanic 2" and his pups will re-define notions of conflict of interest, pork-barrelling and parliamentary privilege, probably all at once. We may find we've been sold a pup!
Trust us!
Leigh Sales, ABC “7:30” squawked something like “… a triumphant return of the Liarbrils…”
I didn’t see if there was a puddle under her desk.

Worse was to come with her "... as a settled order descends on Canberra compared to the chaos of the last three years...." or some-such partisan non-news,  she conveniently misleads the audience by ignoring the disruptively negative nonsense served up by Liarbril minions during those three years that was the cause of the chaos.
A cardbord cut-out of a journalist.
I hope Sabra Lane is a better journo… but perhaps she’s not… here’s a response to a blog on the subject
“I've given up on listening to interviews with Sabre Lane, her disrespect is only outdone by her lack of knowledge of the subject matter.  In fact most political journalists appear to base their questions on articles in the “Australian” or liberal "fact" sheets.
Cheers petals,
Welcome to The Age of The Aspirational Bogan.

...seeing the cat belled.

 G'day Petals

Shane in the mix

We've been working on a new book of the last performance photographed... it was also meant to be entered into a competition as part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale (17-8-13 to 15-9-13) but I have decided that as the end result was probably not really worth the effort....I'll give the comp a miss.... but here are a couple of shots from what should be at the printers tomorrow

Visually, this book is I think, one of the nicest I've put my name to and it will have the intermission video included as well.

I have presented some of the shots, like this one of Bec R, according to the idea that all theatre is a "conceit" that our willingness to participate in the conceit is where we derive our pleasure in  performance.

It is interesting to note too, how the performance predicates the presentation of a book and its layout according to shot selection and story.
The rhythm of the performance is similar to the dynamic of the class and what you shoot to a great degree is informed by this.

It can often become more than the mere recording of an event.

Well, that’s been a week!
Starting off with Judith Sloane’s blog troll-ism ( re: degrees for child-care workers being only for “….dim-wits from second or third rate university’s”) being queried in public and her inability to effectively defend herself and further credibility as the “Q and A” audience groaned with disbelief at her assertion that ex PM “Little Johnny” Howard had suffered vilification equivalent to Julia Gillard!
View the compilation below to see how low the “right” have sunk in this country and do a “compare and contrast” Sloane’s oft repeated assertion.
I searched for the site to read the article ..something called Catalepsy …or something… and was astounded by the comments supporting the honoury profs’ troll-isms. It was full of the most bilious malevolent, vitriolic and noxious rantings. And woe-be-tide any who dared disagree or criticize in this troll kingdom; they were immediately attacked and vilified. I could only visualise it all as a Hieronymus Bosch painting with the “…weeping and gnashing of teeth” of the damned and forgotten.  A very nasty place.
Then “Big Red”Gillard gets rolled and Kev’s back as PM!
Oi!
An immediate 16% jump in the for Labor only goes to show that it’s all about personality, not policy and how politically sophisticated the electorate isn’t.
But Kev did a couple of things: first he makes a joke of the Tow-back-the-Boats idea forcing the Liarbrils to attempt explaining their policy (they can’t) and secondly: he invites “Rabbott” Abbott to a series of policy debates that has the Liarbrils all running for cover in fright at having to publicly explain anything in more than a three word slogan.
Labor has finally “Belled the Cat” and the Liarbrils smell of funk!
Julie “Death-Stare” Bishop spits that Kev’s joke on the Boats is the most dreadful thing since the crucifixion which oddly enough is exactly the line played in Rupert “The Ugly American” ( He-Who–Lies-to-British-Parliamentary-Enquiries) Murdoch’s rag, The Australian… but this ‘aint news, they’ve been writing the script for three years!
Joe “Oh- What-a- Feeling” Hockey (opposition treasurer) ties himself up in knots again and looks suitably and unimaginatively Liarbril-ly stupid in interview, opining that Oz doesn’t have the population to support a “Very Fast Rail” system, which, being said immediately after a French fellow involved in this infrastructure in Europe thinks that Oz is ideally placed right now to benefit from this development, indicates where this country will head under the Liarbrils.
Sophie “Pit-Bull” Mirabella is verbally and conceptually mauled on “Q and A” by Tanya Plibersek, particularly after her “…total solution” to the refugee problem; Tony Windsor awarding “Pit-Bull” The-Most-Unpopular-Woman-in-Parliament prize was very funny; and given a straw poll Mrs Wombat and I held yesterday at lunch with 8 men and women, we did, too.  I wonder if she goes to a lonely home to cry herself to sleep.

Oi, These coarse women….!!

Leigh Sales (7:30 Report, ABC), was positively ugly again, salivating over tragedy, confusing being a player with being a reporter. In feeding the parents of a young man who died installing Pink Insulation batts in a Government sponsored work scheme, prompting them every opportunity to swipe at Rudd, “Do you want to say more?” ….”What would you like to say to PM Rudd?” etc , Sales’ crass tabloid techniques again dilute the quality of ABC journalism.
A coroner’s report three years after the event? Timed to co-incide with an election?
Where the management and work practices of the business owners and the OH and S in Queensland barely rate a mention in reporting? Give us a break!
Sales’ puerile question: “Do you think you get better at acting with experience?” to Russell Crowe, “belled” that cat, too.
New minister in Rudd government, Ed Husic takes Oath of Office on the Koran: which releases a tsunami of mis-spelled Bogan vitriol on FB which not only shows a frightening lack of knowledge of the country’s constitution; the embarrassing level of cultural sensitivity and awareness current in Australia but also how the conservative’s attitude have legitimised these morons’ comments.

Below is a pic of local federal member Catherine King (Minister, Regional Development) officially opening the local landmark, The Half Church with the owners Kathy and Marlene.

Cheers Possums…. and to finish with a feline metaphor… I hope the poll results are not a “Dead-Cat’s-Bounce”.

Around the traps the madness continues

Hello, you two…this week it's all
Wombat Droppings
shane with mandolin
Shane with Mandolin

P.M. “Big-Red” Gillard’s lousy timing was on show again trying to increase public funding to pollies election funds. Mr “Rabbott” agreed (in writing) with the deal until his party, miffed at not being consulted, revolted and forced an about-face.
Lesson’s ?  1/ political nouse, 2/ what’s a signed agreement worth? 3/ the Liarbril’s are revolting.
Senator George (Hissy-Fit) Brandis (Deep North Liarbril) had a lovely time saying over and over and over again, “look, look over there…a rabbit!”

Indonesions tell The “Rabbott” that they will not accept any refugee boats he turns back… Rabbott ignores that and blames Labor!
Kelly (Shuddupa-ya-Face) O’Dwyer ( Liarbril Motor-Mouth for Higgins) manages again, on TV to turn a discussion into a ranting monologue.
Sophie (Pit-Bull) Mirabella was seen in Ballarat with a carcass of meat.
Make that two carcasses.
She was possibly demonstrating what Australian manufacturing might finally look like if the Liabrils win government.

Sophie "Pit-Bull "
Joe (Oh-What-a-Feeling) Hockey says ''we must return to stable, predictable and honest government to Australia''. But will not release the Liarbril’s budget costings, policy or plans…..“look, look over there…another rabbit!”

National Parks in the Tardis State (Where-all-goes-Backwards) are now up for 99- year private leases. Pretend Environment minister Ryan (Dodo) Smith said that this “….will give investors more certainty and a stronger incentive to develop high-quality proposals in our national parks.”
Hmmm … like Coal Seam Gas mining? The chance of being shot by a gun wielding 12year old? Being trampled by some bovine masticating native Heath and other endangered wildflowers? Or being run down by a raging 4WD?
Conservation? Nah….. it’s just not profitable.

Liarbril imagination!
Threats to the survival of the Leadbeater's possum are being compounded by recent Tardis State (Where-all-goes-Backwards) government changes to survey methods and reservation strategies that will result in the habitat of the species being logged and setting back the development of much-needed new habitat by at least 120 years. The new changes are seen as so retrograde that the international journal Science reported that the Leadbeater's possum will be one of the world's first deliberate, government-sanctioned extinctions of an endangered species.
Liarbril imagination!
Louise (Dozy) Asher, Minister for Innovation (Liarbril) has cut funding to a youth service which helps employ troubled young people in hospitality in Melbourne.  The Heat program has been told it would lose $220,000 in funding and its restaurant will be closed. The program has an 80 per cent employment rate for participants. Emma Crichton, from the St Kilda Youth Service, says it has been a successful program and the Napthine Government should reconsider the funding decision. "We run this program on the smell of an oily rag. We are probably the most inexpensive youth service in the state of Victoria," she said. "It is just so efficient how we work this program and it's so important. It's vital that it remains. "Ms Crichton says the participants learn about more than just hospitality. "We also teach them about life and self-esteem and discipline and working in teams," she said. (Source: ABC radio 774)
Which probably balances the cost of Ex-Premier, Big-Bird (Silvertail Incompetens) Baillieu’s  perk of a new car and driver!
Ms “Dozy” seems unavailable for comment… zzzzz….zzzzzz….zzzzz!

A Napthine Rant

Pretend Premier Napthine,(Inutilus Rusticus) has decided that he didn’t swear at Opposition leader Daniel Andrews in the corridor of Parliament house in front of Andrews’ six year old child.  He has also not admitted that they were arguing over the price of a taxi fare as we all will soon have to do or that the “robust discussion” was about sharing of said taxi.
Police were not called as they were busy with two others apparently getting a bit willing in a political domestic in the same building.

Liarbril imagination!

Matty (What’s-a-Greenwedge / Backhander) Guy has said because the developers paid memberships to a Liberal Party fundraising club - a figure of $10,000 a year - they did not pay on the night, so it was not a paid fundraiser. "Team 200 like the 500 Club for Liberal, is a group where you pay your membership fee and you have certain speakers, there is nothing different in this," he said. He said it did not break the ban because "it wasn't a fundraiser where people paid money to attend". "Go back and tell me where I have made a decision that is an advantage to anyone," he said.
ROFL moment
Mr Guy's attendance at a fundraising dinner attended by property developers will not be investigated by the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission as they have already poo-poo-ed that idea, “What our Matty, corrupt? Balderdash!
ROFL moment, 2
Sniff, Sniff… the stink of the Tardis State(Where-all-goes-Backwards)

Ex Liarbril, Geoff(Fiddles)Shaw thinks (whilst still waiting to see if police charge him for allegedly rorting his Govt car allowance) that back-bench pollies need more than $150,000 a year….. more like $400,000…. and this just after the pollies have voted themselves a pay rise!

Cardinal George Pell uncomfortably fronted the enquiry into child abuse and seemed to have a modicum, a glimmer of understanding that the matter was actually serious for the victims and not just the finances of the church.
It really is a great pity that Henry 2 didn’t sort it out properly in the C12th.
And, anyone reading about the “Rat-lines” run by the Vatican for the benefit of the fascist mass murderers of WW2 should really have a look at Bishop Hart’s and Cardinal Pell’s demeanour in these hearings to have perhaps an inkling of how vile “good men” can be. Men who would tell you what morality, justice and ethics are.

The Collingwood F.C. board probably thought Eddie McGuire’s fine sense of history during the indigenous football week and replication of the manners of a 13 year old female supporter was no reason to sack him.
Ahhh, Collingwood. What taste, what timing!
What’s next for a Collingwood fund-raiser …. the team in a B/W Minstrel Show?

Wind Farm, Waubra

Sarah Laurie who likes to be described as a medical expert investigating health problems at wind farms but has never been called as an expert witness in any official inquiry into wind noise is stirring up opposition to wind farms on King Island.       Academics Simon Chapman and Fiona Chrichton have discovered in their separate research that the power of suggestion has been an extremely potent weapon in the wind energy debate. Their conclusions were that wind turbine syndrome was most likely caused by scare campaigns.
