 G'day Possums,

Mrs Wombat and I have been travelling, (lucky us).. we managed to escape another lockdown and visit No#1 daughter, husband and grands in Alice for a week. 

We also took a few days further south and stumbled around Uluru and Kata Tjuta which are magnificent in scale, colour and indigenous significance.

Not only did we escape lockdown but mercifully any mention of the nation's historically most incompetent, corrupt and useless PM, Scovid from Announcements.

But prior to our adventure Premier Dan Andrews or as the Neo-Fascists label him, Dictator Dan was being roundly pilloried for calling the state into lockdown #4 as a chap had crosssed into Vic from SA hotel quarantine and had tested positive for the Delta Strain of the virus and Andrews wanted it contained maintaining it was much more contagious than the original version. ABC's "Hissy-Fits" Sales and "The Specious One" Speers all joined in the cat-calling emanating from the Murdochracy and citing Scovid from Announcements' assertion that the Gold Standard of Sydney's a'la Gladdie Binchicken was the way to go and that Dan was paranoid.

Unfortunately for the Murdocratic naysayers Andrews and team were on-the-money and they halted it reasonably quickly  but a few weeks later a couple of infectious removalists from Gladdie Binchicken's "Gold Standard" state sprinkled their Delta malaise throughout Vic and into regional areas for the first time causing lockdown#5. 

But this time the Murdochracy were in a quandry: Gladdie Binchicken's "Gold Standard' was looking a trifle Pyrites-like as the number of infections in NSW increased and looked like Uluru with more below sight than in it.

And of course Scovid from Announcements did what he does best in a crisis: Dodo-like, he disappeared ....this time to have hair plugs attached to his vacant skull in a vain attempt to improve his sagging image.

Upon return, Scovid from Announcements for the first time began extolling the efficacy of hard lockdown and lying through his teeth that he had always supported Dan Andrews approach and that we should all get vaccinated as quickly as possible... only  forgetting that he hadn't ordered enough vaccines in the first place and that his vacillating on who should get the AZ and who the Pfizer was causing more confusion and hesitancy!

The immensity of the task has clearly overwhelmed Scovid from Announcements and his Hellsong-IPA cabal. Good only for announcements, spin and rorting public money, more and more of the public are now fully and clearly aware that this Ruling Rabble is  there only for the power it gives them and not for the well-being of the nation. Their miserable failure in every single aspect of governance will cost the nation dearly many years into the future.

The dicta of me, me, me, me of Little Johnny's relaxed and comfortable Liberals of insouciant selfishness now bearing its malignant fruit as exemplified by the quartet of 60 something "Pru's and Tru's" on the flight back to Melbourne who had repeatedly  to be told by cabin crew to keep their masks on... whilst I was reading an aptly telling passage from Bruce Pascoe's "Salt" of "...a nation without modesty, without compassion, a spoilt and selfish people forever chortling about goodness and mateship." and " Where there is sand, there is little rock."

And so it goes.... beautiful, beautiful country...accomodation...ok... food.. terrible to ordinary and very very expensive ...service...good... but the country... early morning seems to bring out the subtlety of colour and those sentinals of She-Oak being so, so still, waiting, whispering, being.

And of course, not to forget the Alice Springs Asian Ladies Sunday Morning Crochet Class .....much fun and tinkling mirth being had.....

short snippets from the Tardis State (Vic) where all used to go backwards but pundits, (mostly The Ugly American, Murdoch's shills), are postulating that we may soon return to a monotonous ennui which only the Ruling Rabble can manifest.

Matty, Thug Guy, opposition Don for the Ruling Rabble, fresh from having Lobster lunches with what police allege are Mafia figures and costing the state millions in compensation for his land sales frolics has launched his cabal's election campaign with a two pronged assault on Labor. The first is a lowest common denominator, racist dog-whistle campaign against Africans, promoting fear, xenophobia and hate: negative qualities the Ruling Rabble has in spades as they seem to find positive and progressive thinking far too subtle and arduous.

Under cover of "Laura Norder" these right-wing Free-Speech-For-All hypocrites, when pushed to explain their policy in detail constantly fall back on slogans to define their parody of democracy and really might be better employed by first putting their own house in order as another NSW Ruling Rabble MP has just resigned after revelations in an ICAC inquiry involving a multi-million dollar property deal with Chinese developers.... and then there's this....

The second prong in their attack is public transport: they are going to build an extension to the Cranbourne line. Well, isn't that just fine?

 Considering it was their pin-up boy, Boof-head Kennett who closed it down 28 years ago as unviable, that  piece of history  sort of took the gloss off competing with premier Dan Andrew's achievements in the transport sphere.

Andrews has also announced that education was to be a priority if he's re-elected, recently noting that 128 schools need to be built  to cover population growth. It really was a pity that Boof-head when premier, 28 years ago closed 128 schools in his ideological jihad against teachers and state education.

One thing you can be certain of Possums, is that whenever the Ruling Rabble are elected, future proofing the state comes a very poor second to paying their dues to their supporters and consequently services to the public are degraded to a point where it takes years to redress the balance.

In the federal circus, Barnyard Joyce has been has been found not in breach of his travel entitlements because he was "on-the-job" at the time. But we all knew that anyway.

Serial fashionista and part-time foreign minister Asbestos Bishop, raised eyebrows when virtually implying that her Ruling Rabble was to be credited with organizing the team saving the Thai boys trapped in a watery cave. It is understood that in her flick of the head to moue at the TV cameras, her 15 cm  gorgeous designer drop earring smacked her jaw and she was temporarily stunned which explains another of her cringe-worthy moments.

The AFP vehicle seen outside The Harpy, Cash's office is understood not to be there to finalise their nine month investigation into her leaking media department but to seek advice as whether to have celebrity chef  Calamari Calombaris  pay his staff appropriately. This was fruitless as it seems that the address is, in effect, a retail outlet for white-boards and The Harpy who has shown no interest in wage justice, except for herself could not be found.

Mummy's Boy and foreign citizen from the Deep North, Bruiser Canavan fronted "Insiders" today to spruik his coal qualifications and his concept of The National Energy Agreement  which Truffles and Fiction's are trying to cobble together ...I had an image of him that his brain looked like a little kid running around a very big but almost empty toy store grabbing at whatever took his fancy and mumbling something about it then putting it down anywhere and picking up something else and mumbling on.... goodness it's obvious he knows the jig is up... all he spouts is drivel!

Just like Bookshelves Brandis appointing 72 of his Ruling Rabble cronies and mates to administrative positions just before the last election, Scummo Morrison has seen fit to fiat a Ruling Rabble staffer as Secretary to the Treasury and another staffer to a top position in the Productivity Commission. Contemplating the near disastrous fiscal situation this incompetent Rabble have managed to produce in the past five years and the blatant political stacking of key advisory bodies, if  Labor wins the next election, one might expect that the Night of The Long Knives could well look like the Teddy Bear's Picnic.

Dodo Dutton… Deep North Fascist, blunders on to Sydney radio to rail against Dan-the-Man Andrews in Vic over what he sees as a crisis with gangs, the judiciary and multi-culturalism… not white ones like the 100 who terrorised the Torquay beach resort, mind you,  nor the four whities who head-stomped a girl attending a fight- injured man in Geelong but Africans … because the ruling rabble are so bereft of policy that's positive and having run out of well, never had, good economic news, they are compelled to wallow in their inner recesses and via smoke screen express fully what they actually look like.

They are ugly and getting uglier… rather akin to Dorian Gray's portrait where each moral breach is registered in the portrait's facade but not in the publicly accessed arena of a compliant Ugly American Murdoch, media.

True to the original bottom-feeder dictums of Little Johnny Howard and his "Tampa "and  "Children Overboard" calumnies,  Truffles motley,  incompetent and mostly incoherent ruling rabble can only see political survival in the further destruction of every sound social attribute requiring imagination, vision and talent. They pray at the altar of Le Jongleur, Roskam's regressive IPA and like Dutton, double down in falsehood as there is no other avenue left available to them .

And why is Dan-the-Man under such ferocious attack?

He does things for the community! 

Like Jay Weatherill in SA, he builds infrastructure to benefit the state and provides jobs that  show up how pointless the federal ruling rabble is.

Being consistently opaque, the public submissions to the Truffles / Ruddock review of religious "freedom" in Australia will be kept secret. That this is another marked departure from normal processes seems not to bother this supine nation.

So, like an inquisition being secret, why would should any-one take the Rancid Ruddock's findings with any seriousness?

Reflections

The rampant corruption of the ruling rabble with their "over-entitlement" and "deals" over the Murray Darling water, overseas political donations, etc has borne its natural fruit.

The number of  public servants bureaucrats witnessing corruption in their agencies has nearly doubled compared to three years ago as has the growing number reporting cronyism and nepotism. 

The latest public service commission State of the Service report found 5 per cent of surveyed government staff said they had seen corrupt behaviour, a figure that has steadily risen since an initial survey in 2013-14 that found 2.6 per cent had witnessed it in their workplaces.

What is the only thing  the ruling rabble do well?  Corruption.. and note the date... since the accession of ruling rabble Mk#1.
