G'day fellow victims, How the hell did we get here?....Easy. Federally, a total lack of leadership: corruption from the highest to the lowest levels: sheer incompetence and: a supportive, biased and compliantly Murdochratized and corrupted media. Sounds Trumpian?... you bet!

So the Goya etchings from his Los Caprichos are more than suitable illustrations for our time and more of Shane's colourful transport later. 

Scummo the Liar from Marketing Announcements is still regaling us with his curry photos and now has joined TikTok to distract and groom gullible youth' attempting to influence their vote....he's forgotten calling said platform a Chinese propaganda unit but then he lies so often, even he can't keep up.  Grace Tame nailed him so early in her progress that Scummo-the-Liar decided that the Australian of the Year award had to be more politically controlled' which I think spurred her on to make the best use of her time in the role. A part of which was supporting ex-Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins in her quest for justice in pursuing rape charges against another Liberal staffer... no , not the one who masturbated on a female ministers desk... no, not the one inviting prostitutes into parliament... no, not the ones having sex in the parliamentary prayer room (boys will be boys wont they darls...), but the one allegedly with, shall we say, a "reputation" for drink spiking prior to carnal activities? Yes, that one. Scummo the Liar's backgrounding against Higgins probably brought a wry smile to Michael Towke's face; and the Liberal women who attended the Higgen's &Tame's rather large rally for women at parliament house looked quite uncomfortable, understanding for once that they were, generally, not amongst their normal milieu of Pru's & Tru's.

 Aided and abetted by the Mudochracy, a "turned" ABC and promoting Scummo the Liar's politicking over covid that "Labor premiers bad, Liberal premiers good" the tin-foil hatted, anti-vax , fascists literally hit the streets, particularly in Melbourne where Dan-the Man had stopped Covid but was being hounded as Dictator Dan for his success. Sydney's, St Gladys of Binchicken (Saviour of the Nation according to Clueless Coorey of the fin revue) soon reversed that as she did in every other state successfully tackling the virus, by sending forth tainted emissaries to join her crusade of "living-with-the-virus-your-lives-are-not-as-important-as-the-economy-peasant." Those who died and will die in the future from Covid can depart this life satisfied that they are part of Scummo's "gold standard."
 Unfortunately St Gladys did a bunk when NSW ICAC told her they were investigating her and her dealings with a certain feckless chap, McGuire who was selling visa's to would-be citizens when Scummo was immigration Minister... so it's no wonder he thought ICAC a Kangaroo court of monumental proportions and railed and railed and railed about the unfairness of it all.

Anyhow, St Gladys of Binchicken will keep all her parliamentary goodies even if she's found against... as she has left the room. 

 Omicron Dom, a religiously unfunny terrorist has taken her place and taking the reins very loosely in NSW has proceeded to make sure we all live-with-the-virus, at least until we're dead. 

 Business isn't really booming like they said it would ....to many have the virus, too many aren't going to unsafe work places for peanut-pay, too many are really pissed off that business' who received huge handouts when not entitled and are now being told to fork out inflated prices for an Australian designed Rapid-Antigen-Test that Scummo the Liar pissed off to be manufactured overseas. 

Too many are now aware that the IPA / Hellsong model of running an economy precludes fairness and equity...the natives are restless.

Mrs Wombat and I have been travelling, (lucky us).. we managed to escape another lockdown and visit No#1 daughter, husband and grands in Alice for a week. 

We also took a few days further south and stumbled around Uluru and Kata Tjuta which are magnificent in scale, colour and indigenous significance.

Not only did we escape lockdown but mercifully any mention of the nation's historically most incompetent, corrupt and useless PM, Scovid from Announcements.

But prior to our adventure Premier Dan Andrews or as the Neo-Fascists label him, Dictator Dan was being roundly pilloried for calling the state into lockdown #4 as a chap had crosssed into Vic from SA hotel quarantine and had tested positive for the Delta Strain of the virus and Andrews wanted it contained maintaining it was much more contagious than the original version. ABC's "Hissy-Fits" Sales and "The Specious One" Speers all joined in the cat-calling emanating from the Murdochracy and citing Scovid from Announcements' assertion that the Gold Standard of Sydney's a'la Gladdie Binchicken was the way to go and that Dan was paranoid.

Unfortunately for the Murdocratic naysayers Andrews and team were on-the-money and they halted it reasonably quickly  but a few weeks later a couple of infectious removalists from Gladdie Binchicken's "Gold Standard" state sprinkled their Delta malaise throughout Vic and into regional areas for the first time causing lockdown#5. 

But this time the Murdochracy were in a quandry: Gladdie Binchicken's "Gold Standard' was looking a trifle Pyrites-like as the number of infections in NSW increased and looked like Uluru with more below sight than in it.

And of course Scovid from Announcements did what he does best in a crisis: Dodo-like, he disappeared ....this time to have hair plugs attached to his vacant skull in a vain attempt to improve his sagging image.

Upon return, Scovid from Announcements for the first time began extolling the efficacy of hard lockdown and lying through his teeth that he had always supported Dan Andrews approach and that we should all get vaccinated as quickly as possible... only  forgetting that he hadn't ordered enough vaccines in the first place and that his vacillating on who should get the AZ and who the Pfizer was causing more confusion and hesitancy!

The immensity of the task has clearly overwhelmed Scovid from Announcements and his Hellsong-IPA cabal. Good only for announcements, spin and rorting public money, more and more of the public are now fully and clearly aware that this Ruling Rabble is  there only for the power it gives them and not for the well-being of the nation. Their miserable failure in every single aspect of governance will cost the nation dearly many years into the future.

The dicta of me, me, me, me of Little Johnny's relaxed and comfortable Liberals of insouciant selfishness now bearing its malignant fruit as exemplified by the quartet of 60 something "Pru's and Tru's" on the flight back to Melbourne who had repeatedly  to be told by cabin crew to keep their masks on... whilst I was reading an aptly telling passage from Bruce Pascoe's "Salt" of "...a nation without modesty, without compassion, a spoilt and selfish people forever chortling about goodness and mateship." and " Where there is sand, there is little rock."

And so it goes.... beautiful, beautiful country...accomodation...ok... food.. terrible to ordinary and very very expensive ...service...good... but the country... early morning seems to bring out the subtlety of colour and those sentinals of She-Oak being so, so still, waiting, whispering, being.

Alpha and Omega

it's been a while between drinks.... the year opened with the nation in crisis and at closing, is as started but with the crisis deepened, ‘though it's re-assuring to know that one thing has been constant... our Pentecostal excuse for a Prime Minister, Scummo of Bunning's Marketing is again, nowhere to be seen during the crisis.

But more of that later.

 Being in a regional area the lockdown was not as harsh as it was in the Met. areas and we had limited travel. Patience was in the mood of things and people were more accommodating… the roads were nearly vacant , masks were awkward and uncomfortable but I could remove it regularly, not like many workers who were sentenced to hourly use.

Life was quieter and I began to enjoy the clearer bluer skies as I turned away from what I had been doing as global Covid had limited certain areas of work.

So it was on with the boat.. which I can happily report was well received and has led to other projects….and onto

and the Fokker DXX1…20CC engine  ply with some aluminium, 2.5 m wingspan.. hopefully telescopic undercarraige will provide suspension, canopy will slide and intruments operate... just need a pilot small enough to read them....

which, now that the en-suite has been renovated (that took a bloody sight longer than I anticipated) and the studio re-jigged and organised, well nearly organised.. I can get on with it.. whilst keeping an eye on this corrupt and incompetent ruling rabble which is inflicting so much damage on the country.

The Covid lockdown of Victoria (or Hookturnistan under our "Dear Leader", Dan-the-Man) produced some really hilarious moments: as when Wine student turned Murdocratic feral, Rachel the Blatherer had Dan Andrews explain the nature of "intimate" relations in answer to another of her asinine questions during his 100 days of continued press conferences…. Or other journalists laughing at the pretensions of Peta, Drink-Driver, Credlin the Credulous in her quest to “get” Dan.

 Content (on the surface) to let the bile coming at him from all sides wash around him Andrews gained much support from the public through awful times by being there and answering all that was put to him and being responsible. A demeanour not lost on his critics particularly when Covid was effectively suppressed with no cases for 60 odd days due to the strictures put in place and much to the rabid anger of the right-wing shills who had been braying that that couldn't be done.

 One of the saddest things to see was how the Vic. ABC has been bastardised into a bilious opinion service not a news one with Dicky the Wanker Willingham leading the chorus with anti labor diatribes whenever he opens his mouth. But why so very quiet on ex police commissioner (and Liberal member) Ashton who didn't want Vicpol involved in hotel quarantine or Scummo who suggested the firms involved?

 Congruent to this, the beatification of Gladys the Gormless was taking place in NSW. The premier had according to Scummo of Bunning's Marketing, (making one of his rare appearances after surfacing from under a pew at 7 Stapleton Ave.) made her State the "gold standard" for all things Covid....which was in contrast to her putrid performance in lying to ICAC, her cosy-ing up (Rachel Blatherer now knows what Dan means) to a disgraced colleague and funding his errant ways, rorting the public purse, mismanaging infrastructure deals, holding pressers only with selected Murdocratic propagandists and running away when things get a bit hairy. She's given herself away about the depths of her ideologically driven premiership. Her "pressers" are a wonderful example of how not to run anything.... but she's a "shoe-in" to best Jacinda Adern in the popularity stakes... according the what used to be a reliable newspaper but now just a tripe-fest of Ruling Rabble talking points owned by 9.

 As with most of Scummo of Bunning's Marketing announcements spin preceded reality and Covid's taken off again mostly due to Gladys the Gormless no doubt taking advice from Scummo who is probably only looking forward to the "Rapture" not the welfare of the nation.

Needless to say the same vituperative questioning which greeted Andrew's every presser was not to be seen....Gladys can make a real shambles of her "gold standard", she can make medically wrong statements, give conflicting and confusing advice, contradict her own CHO (whose a very tame Pussy) and the attendees I cannot say journalists, say nothing.

This resurgence of the virus has because of the incompetence in NSW, all the hallmarks of being even bigger than Vic's nasty episode. I'm sure Peta the Credulous, the Drink Driving One will be there to find the answers for her devoted ....follower.

Such a year: The Priapic Tudge, “I am honoured to be appointed as the Minister for Education and Youth in the Second Morrison Ministry.” The swearing-in ceremony was virtual – a fitting end to 2020. Ooohhh.. thinking of all those svelte first-year-out graduate teaching gels.. ?...Phoaaaooooaaaah!

Virtually every system failure can be sheeted back to privatisation. Aged care, employment services, NDIS, vocational education, hotel quarantine, refugee detention, MDBP, electricity generation, ports, private health, private schools, banking & finance...the list is endless.

The private operator set to take over Adelaide's train network in January will not have enough staff to operate a full service, and will rely on taxpayers’ money to fill the shortfall.

Cyber bullies and online trolls could be slapped with huge fines of up to $110,000 under world-first laws to be introduced by the Federal Government.

The Online Safety Bill will make it illegal to post “seriously harmful content” on websites and social media, such as death threats, revenge porn and comments that intentionally “menace, harass or offend’. … which may make it hard for The Ugly American’s rags to feature their very offensive front pages during elections….

Given the chance to find “a new way” because of Covid, the Ruling Rabble / IPA / Hellsong cabal have instead “doubled-down” on their regressive and anti-social neo-fascism.

It will be an interesting year because they have set and are continuing to set agendas which will blow this country to bits… they have blown up trade with China, blown away tertiary and secondary (state) education, gutted and cowed the only once independent news service, mangled MediCare. They have shown criminal cupidity in financial matters and now are widely seen as the most corrupt federal government in Oz history.. they will reap what they sow… it’s not the rapture they will face.
